Global Markets for Diesel Powered Light Vehicles to 2019
(Published September 2009)
The global automotive industry continues to face unprecedented challenges, not least of which is the global financial crisis and the most severe economic recession for over 50 years. The need for energy efficient vehicles has been brought sharply into focus by a combination of constrained consumer spending as well as the need to meet future CO2 and fuel consumption limits. At the same time government and local incentives will increasingly steer car buyers toward more efficient powertrain choices.
LMC Automotive published the fourth edition of the 'Global Markets for Diesel Powered Light Vehicles' study in 2009. That all-new edition revisited and re-evaluated the previous assumptions and provided important new insights and conclusions on the changes in global demand for diesel powered light vehicles to 2019.
Global Heavy Commercial Vehicle Engine Forecast
J.D. Power Automotive Forecasting, in association with Knibb, Gormezano & Partners published the first ever study on Heavy Commercial Vehicle engines in 2006 and since that time there have been a number of updates. This study, provided in the form of an integrated Access database, offered a quantitative analysis of heavy vehicle engine production and demand and emissions aftertreatment systems. The study supplemented the historical data and forecasts with qualitative information on the developments in emissions legislation and engine technology.
